Overview
Montana’s leading mountain resort, Big Sky Ski Resort, offers a vertical drop of 4,350 feet, with 3,640 feet of it continuous and an annual snowfall of 400 inches. This means that great skiing is yours to be had! There are 3,500 skiable acres with a total of seventeen lifts. You’ll find 150 named runs that cover more than 85 miles on three separate mountains.
Location
Big Sky is located midway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone, Montana on MT Highway 64.
From Bozeman, you simply need to get on Huffine Lane which meets with Highway 191 about 8 miles outside of town. Go south on 191 for 39 miles until you reach MT 64, take a right going west and through Mountain Village. From there follow the signs.
From West Yellowstone, head north on Highway 287/191, and stay on Highway 191 when they split. When you reach Highway 64 you go west to Mountain Village, passing through the village and following the signs.
Shuttle services are available from the airport, town of Big Sky and around the resort.
Seasons
Big Sky Ski Resort is open for the winter season from late November to mid-April. The summer season runs from early June to early October.
